We are dedicated to serving people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and those who can hear. We work with the Deaf Community. Interpreters and Transliterators of American Sign Language and Signed English are qualified professionals licensed by the state of Maine, meeting annual training requirements that maintain and improve their skills while keeping abreast of the latest developments in interpreting, language, ethical and legal issues. They recognize the importance of confidentiality, of making decisions based on ethics, and of retaining cultural nuances. Our interpreters adhere to the Code of Ethics put forth by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
We assist in removing the communication barrier and promote access to a common goal: the message. In addition to providing onsite and in-person interpreting services throughout Maine, we can often respond to requests throughout New England. We are available to you for an hour, a day, for a week or for however long you need us, at reasonable rates.
